NJ ANCHOR Tax Rebate Payments Rolling Out: Here’s When To Expect Yours
The deadline to file your own application is rapidly approaching.
As the ANCHOR tax rebate program begins its fourth year, a new filing and validation system will have New Jersey residents receiving their money sooner rather than later.
According to the New Jersey Department of the Treasury, payments will begin being sent on a rolling basis starting on Monday. Officials said that most residents will receive their rebate roughly 90 days after their application was filed.
Most eligible residents had their ANCHOR applications auto-filed by the state after receiving a confirmation letter in mid-August. However, the deadline is rapidly approaching for eligible residents who need to change their banking information or their mailing address.

Residents who are submitting their own application must provide their Social Security Number or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number and their birth year. The same information is required from the applicant’s spouse/partner, if applicable.
Applicants should also prepare their 2024 property tax details, including their County/Municipality Code, Block/Lot/Qualifier, and tax amounts, as well as the gross income reported on their 2024 NJ-1040.
Those who file by paper will only be able to receive their funds by paper check. Online filers have the option to receive a check or to use direct deposit.
Senior residents who collect social security disability benefits can apply using the combined application, PAS-1. The single application allows seniors to claim benefits from Senior Freeze (Property Tax Reimbursement), ANCHOR, and the new Stay NJ Program.
Expect potential wait times, as the web traffic for the online application is often busy.
