NJ Battered By Storms As Debby Creeps Closer
"A very humid, wet and rainy forecast is on tap for the short term," forecasters with the National Weather Service said Wednesday morning.

NEW JERSEY — Thousands of people in New Jersey are waking up without power on Wednesday and dealing with road closures after thunderstorms swept through the region Tuesday night — and there's more wet weather on the way.
Trains on several NJ Transit lines are delayed due to fallen trees and downed power lines, after heavy rain and strong winds battered the state. A crash Tuesday night on a wet South Jersey road is still causing delays, and firefighters in Hackensack also rescued multiple people from high waters as city streets quickly became flooded from the downpours.
FirstEnergy is reporting close to 3,900 customers without power on Wednesday morning, and about 780 PSE&G customers are in the dark as well.

The remnants of Tropical Storm Debby "will likely result in considerable flooding" in portions of the Mid-Atlantic through Saturday morning, said forecasters with the National Hurricane Center. The Garden State hasn't felt this deadly storm's effects quite yet, but there is a cold front continuing to move across the area that will bring rainfall and the risk of flash flooding to communities that are already waterlogged.
