Police ID 2 NJ Brothers Killed In Weekend Crash; 2 Remain Critical

NEW JERSEY — Authorities identified the four New Jersey brothers involved in the Friday crash on Interstate 95 in Philadelphia that killed two and hurt the others.

Pennsylvania State Police Monday said Aaron Davis, 23 of Cranbury, New Jersey, and his brother Joshua Davis, 22 of East Windsor, New Jersey, were killed in the crash.

Their two other brothers, Benjamin and Nathaniel Davis, both 18 and of East Windsor, were seriously injured in the crash. A puppy riding in the back of the Mazda was also ejected in the collision and was found dead.

State police said a Mazda was heading north on I-95 around 8:10 p.m. Friday when the driver lost control near mile marker 25.5 and somehow left the roadway.

The vehicle then went through a guardrail and rolled multiple times before coming to a stop on Castor Avenue below the interstate.

Two of the brothers were not wearing seatbelts and were ejected from the vehicle. One was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other died at a nearby hospital.

The other two are in critical condition, police said.

Witnesses told police the Mazda was racing a Dodge Challenger on the interstate before losing control and crashing.
