Mom, Daughter Killed With Axe In Union Co.: Report
The Roselle man was caught driving in Maryland in a stolen car belonging to a woman killed in Union County, said authorities.
ROSELLE, NJ — A Roselle mother and her 9-year-old daughter were murdered by an axe, according to news reports.
Multiple news outlets reported that a family member of 45-year-old Keisha Morrison and her 9-year-old daughter Kelsey Morrison said they were killed with an axe and the killer was the husband Gary Morrison's brother. The Union County Prosecutor's Office would not confirm these details.
Around noon on Wednesday, April 19, Roselle Police Officers were called to a home on the 200 block of West 7th Avenue on the report of two missing persons, Union County Prosecutor William A. Daniel and Roselle Police Chief Stacey Williams announced Friday.

A search of the home found the bodies of Morrison and her 9-year-old daughter. Autopsies conducted yesterday determined that the manner of death was homicide, said Daniel.
On Thursday, Everoy J. Morrison, 44, of Roselle was stopped for driving a stolen 2019 silver BMW 750 taken from a home where Morrison and her daughter were found dead, according to a release from Maryland State Police.

At around 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Roselle police notified Maryland police to look out for the reported stolen vehicle, Maryland police said.
Nearly an hour later, troopers from the JFK Memorial Highway Barrack stopped the vehicle on Bel Air Road near I-695 in Baltimore County.
Morrison was taken into police custody without incident; he is currently in Baltimore County Detention Center awaiting extradition to New Jersey, state police said.
