A restaurant in New Jersey has earned bragging rights as one of the best restaurants in America, according to a new ranking from the reservation platform OpenTable.
Unlike some lists decided by critics, OpenTable’s list of the 2025’s Best 100 Restaurants is based on diner reviews and the percentage of reservations made in advance, among other metrics.

The Saddle River Inn
2 Barnstable Court, Saddle River
Located in the heart of Saddle River, this fine dining restaurant is known for its contemporary French cuisine, with a menu that changes twice seasonally and offers dining options ranging from lamb chops to scallops.

In diner reviews on OpenTable, many customers praised the restaurant for its food and service, with some shouting out the Saddle River Inn’s atmosphere as well.
“Great food, excellent service and a romantic dinner,” one reviewer wrote.
“One of the best restaurants in NJ, hands down,” another diner said. “Great service, great food. Also, it’s BYOB!”
The Saddle River Inn accepts reservations from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, according to their website.
At the Inn, diners are also asked to adhere to their dress code, which does not permit:
- Shorts
- Jerseys
- Flip Flops or Sneakers
- Sweatpants or Sweatshirts
- Gentleman’s Sleeveless Shirts
