Officer Hospitalized After Passaic County Crash

The crash early Thursday morning caused damage to several nearby businesses, a report said.

LITTLE FALLS, NJ — A Little Falls police officer was hospitalized after a crash early Thursday morning, according to officials and reports.

The officer was in a marked police car when he crashed on Main Street at around 1:15 a.m., News 12 reported.

The New Jersey State PBA shared a photo of the officer's patrol car with its front end smashed in, and said he was in stable condition at the hospital.

Several nearby businesses were damaged and police said the officer was not pursuing anyone, according to News 12. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
