Rip Currents Remain At Hurricane Battered Jersey Shore As Another Tropical Storm Brews
Tropical Storm Fernand is following on the heels of Hurricane Erin, though the impacts won't be quite the same:

Dangerous rip currents will remain through Monday evening as another tropical storm brews in the Atlantic, according to the latest forecast.
The good news is that this isn't expected to last and the threats will not be nearly as strong as they were last week with Hurricane Erin. High rip current risk remains through the evening before downgrading to moderate for Tuesday, National Weather Service forecasters said.
Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Fernand is expected to move north-northeast, according to the National Hurricane Center. The storm is expected to start weakening Monday night and should become post-tropical by Wednesday before dissipating by Thursday. Fernand is much smaller than Erin, according to AccuWeather forecasters, so no significant wave action or rip currents are likely to impact the Jersey Shore.
