NEW JERSEY - Early in-person voting for New Jersey primary elections is set to begin on Tuesday, June 3, and the state is taking extra preventative measures to ensure a fair and smooth process.
In an announcement on Monday, Attorney General Matthew J. Platkin detailed the steps that the Department of Law and Safety is using to protect voting rights, civil rights and other legal matters that stem from the ballot box.
“Voting is the cornerstone of our democracy. Here in New Jersey, we are proud to have free, fair, and secure elections, and we will work tirelessly to ensure that every eligible voter is able to exercise their fundamental right to vote,” added AG Platkin. “We have the systems in place to address and resolve voting-related issues as they arise, and we will not tolerate any attempts to interfere with or disrupt our democratic process.”
