Will NJ Have A White Christmas? Here’s What The Old Farmer’s Almanac Predicts

The Old Farmer's Almanac has released its outlook for a White Christmas across the U.S. in 2025. See what predictions are in New Jersey:

Songs, poems, children’s stories and holiday movies relive the joy of a white Christmas, but how likely is it that New Jerseyans will wake up to a snow-covered landscape on Christmas morning?

“While we all know that nature can be unpredictable, the odds are that the snow will fall mainly in the Central region of the U.S.,” the almanac’s website reads. “According to The 2026 Old Farmer’s Almanac, most of the United States will be seeing a milder, gentler winter than average.”

In a newly released forecast, The Old Farmer’s Almanac said that a White Christmas doesn't seem likely for New Jersey in 2025.

While some parts of the Northeast have a chance of seeing snow on Christmas Day, it’s just over a 50-50 shot around upstate New York and Western New England, the Almanac said.

According to a previous report from Patch, the last time New Jersey had at least an inch of snow on the ground on Christmas Day was in 2009, after a winter storm dumped several feet of snow on part of the state.
