Asbury Park Code, Construction Departments To Resume Work

Asbury Park's Code Enforcement and Construction Departments will resume construction, certificate of occupancy and transfer-of-title work.

ASBURY PARK – In an effort to help new construction, property sales and new rental agreements in Asbury Park, effective Monday, Asbury Park’s Code Enforcement and Construction Departments will resume construction, certificate of occupancy and transfer-of-title inspections on a limited basis.

Inspections in Asbury Park had been suspended since March 18 and will resume based on new guidance from the NJ Department of Community Affairs due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Construction Department will be providing exterior inspections and limited interior inspections until further notice.

Call the construction official at 732-502-5722 to discuss inspection needs and determine capabilities.

The Code Enforcement Department will be providing preliminary virtual inspections for Certificate of Occupancy and Transfer of Title needs. Full inspections will be required at a later date once Asbury Park is provided clearance to do so from the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs.
