Asbury Park Issues 2020 Season Beach Badge Sale Update
Asbury Park will be looking to control capacity.

ASBURY PARK. – The City of Asbury Park will be controlling beach capacity for the 2020 Season due to COVID-19 by limiting the number of beach passes sold.
To accommodate those who can’t access a mobile device to purchase through the Viply app, an in-person option for season beach badge purchase will be available this week.
The 2020 Season beach badge rates will be: $70 for adults; $20 for seniors; $20 for teens.

No refunds for season badges will be given for any reason, including weather or beach closures.
Please note: The information below pertains to season beach badges only. Daily passes will go on sale through Viply starting Friday, May 22 at 5 p.m.

Senior Only In-Person Sales (age 62+)
Tuesday 5/19/20 and Wednesday 5/20/20 from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m.
- During these hours, only seniors will be able to make beach badge purchases.
- Each day on Tuesday 5/19 and Wednesday 5/20 between 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. a limited number of season beach badges will be made available for sale in-person. Sales will cease prior to 11am if the daily allotment is reached.
- Sales will be made at the Boardwalk Beach Office located at First Avenue. Credit card only. No cash transactions.
- Limit 2 season badges per person.
- Proof of age must be presented for each senior badge purchased at time of transaction. Please note, teen badges can be purchased without ID, but teen badges will be checked upon entry to the beach.
- Children under 12 are free and do not need a beach pass to access the beach, but must be supervised by an adult.
- When on the Boardwalk, please practice proper social distancing, wear a face covering or mask, and follow directional signage and markings on the Boardwalk. Please note bathrooms will not be available on the Boardwalk until Memorial Day Weekend.

Season Beach Badge Sales through Viply
Wednesday 5/20/20 from 6 p.m. - 7 p.m,
- A limited number of season badges will be made available through the Viply app for purchase between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Wednesday 5/20 and will be sold until limits are reached.
- Each app user may purchase 2 season badges.
- Demand may be heavy when sales open at 6pm. Badges will be released incrementally and this may cause the inventory to show as “sold out” prior to the limit being reached. Please be patient and keep trying; when the limit is reached, a notification will indicate that all sales are closed.
- After 7 p.m., season badges will no longer be available through Viply.
- Once beach badges are purchased through the Viply app, instructions will be emailed to purchasers within 24-hours regarding pick-up of physical badges.
