Asbury Park Issues Metered Parking, Transportation Updates

The city has issued updates that will impact metered and alternate side parking, among other related issues.

ASBURY PARK – The city has issued updates that will impact metered and alternate side parking, among other related issues.

These parking and transportation updates for the City of Asbury Park are effective immediately and until further notice:

  • Metered parking regulations will be reinstated beginning Friday, May 1, 2020 at 5 p.m. Metered parking regulations had been suspended since March 22, 2020. Residents will be required follow paid parking guidelines and are urged to use the Park Mobile app (www.parkmobile.io) for payment instead of parking kiosks to help stop the spread of COVID-19.
  • Alternate side parking regulations for street cleaning will continue to be suspended until further notice. Regulations have been suspended since March 22, 2020.
  • Weekend public parking hours in Bangs Avenue Parking Garage will continue to be suspended until further notice. (Resident Permit Holders will still have access). Public parking hours in the garage have been suspended since March 22, 2020.
  • Scooter share program will continue to be suspended until further notice (scooters will not be deployed). The program has been suspended since March 22, 2020.
  • Bike share program will continue to be suspended until further notice (bikes have been removed from pick up locations) The program has been suspended since March 22, 2020.

Parking and transportation updates will be continue to be provided as information changes.
