ASBURY PARK. – The Asbury Park Recreation Department will be offering an amended summer recreation program for Asbury Park youth due to COVID-19 restrictions.

“We know summer is an important time of year – and that our youth need opportunities for learning and enrichment,” said Councilperson Jesse Kendle. “We unfortunately are not able to hold our popular Summer Recreation Day Camp, but the City’s Recreation Committee is working hard to provide safe programming during the COVID-19 pandemic. The health and safety of our children is City Council’s primary concern.”

Free summer activity bags will be provided for Asbury Park children, ages 5 to 10. Bags will include activities that children can do on their own, or with parents, including sidewalk chalk, coloring books, crayons, puzzles and more.
