MONMOUTH COUNTY, NJ — It’s been a busy year for businesses around Monmouth County.

As 2025 comes to a close, take a look at some of the county’s most recent business additions, alongside what’s opening soon:

What’s Open

• Anderson Market: Located in the former Sickles Market space in Red Bank, Anderson Market opened its doors to customers in Fall 2025 and hosts a variety of food stalls, vendors and more.
• Freehold Wawa: Toward the end of December, Freehold got a new Wawa on Monmouth Road and held a grand opening celebration that featured free t-shirts, coffee and more.
• Kura Revolving Sushi Bar: A new kind of sushi restaurant has come to Freehold, where customers pay by the plate as Kura's revolving conveyor belt lets them choose dishes as they float by the table (or have specific orders delivered straight to them through the restaurant's Express Belt).
• Empanada Guy: Known for their empanadas and other traditional Latin dishes, Empanada Guy hosted a grand opening for their new Freehold location in mid-November.
• Jersey Freeze: Over the summer, Jersey Freeze officially opened their third location in Colts Neck, joining their original location in Freehold and their Bell Works location in Holmdel.
• LoveShackFancy: In October, this global fashion, beauty, home and lifestyle brand opened the doors to its first New Jersey location at The Grove in Shrewsbury.
• GolfCave: In Fall 2025, a new 24/7 indoor golf facility opened its doors in Kohl’s Plaza in Holmdel, marking its ninth open location in New Jersey.
• Jersey Pickleball Club: Located on the lower level of Bell Works, this pickleball club opened its doors to customers in the fall and hosts state-of-the-art pickleball courts, multiple membership options and more.
• Leonardo Jewelers: After almost 40 years at their previous home on East Front Street, Leonardo Jewelers unveiled its new showroom in Downtown Red Bank in the fall.
• Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers: Known for its cooked-to-order steakburgers, frozen custard treats and more, this restaurant opened its first Monmouth County location in September at 2136 Route 35 South in Holmdel.
• Burrito Bowl Mexican Grill: Located on 31 E Main Street, Freehold, Burrito Bowl Mexican Grill hosted its grand opening over the summer and offers a variety of menu options ranging from empanadas to burritos, tacos, bowls and more.
• CeeCee’s Cupcake Palace: Known for its gourmet cupcakes and royal-themed dessert tables, CeeCee’s Cupcake Palace opened its doors to customers at the Freehold Raceway Mall in November.
• DICK’s House of Sport: Described as a “destination for sport,” this major sports retailer opened its doors to customers in the fall and is located at Freehold Raceway Mall.
• NJ Leaf: Located at 77 Route 36 in Keansburg, this new marijuana dispensary hosted its grand opening in December.
• Eatontown Bob’s Discount Furniture: Toward the end of August, Bob’s Discount Furniture opened a new location at 92 Route 36, Eatontown.
• Sea & Sand Indian Fusion: Combining authentic Indian cuisine with modern interpretations, this new Highlands restaurant opened its doors to customers in September.
• Middletown Ross Dress For Less: Located where Bed, Bath & Beyond used to be on Route 35, the new Middletown Ross Dress For Less opened its doors to customers in October.
• Vigor Dispensary: Located at 1082 Route 34, this new marijuana dispensary opened in Matawan in 2025.
• Broadway Hot & Honey Chicken: Known for their Nashville-style spicy chicken sandwiches, this chain opened its Middletown location at Kings Common Shopping Center over the summer.

What’s Opening

• PGA Tour Superstore: With a tentative opening set for late Spring 2026, golfers around Monmouth County will soon have a new location for golf equipment, apparel and accessories when PGA Tour Superstore opens in Ocean Township.
• Felice: As part of the new Monmouth Square redevelopment in Eatontown, this upscale Italian restaurant plans to open in the fourth quarter of 2026.
• RWJBarnabas Health Cancer Center: In late 2026, RWJBarnabas Health’s new cancer treatment center is expected to open in Tinton Falls. The 150,000-square-foot building is currently under construction.
• Netflix Film Studio: In 2026, construction is expected to begin on the Netflix Film Studio planned for the former Fort Monmouth army base. The company expects to open its first four soundstages in 2027.
• Jack & Jones JJXX: Founded in Denmark, this global fashion brand is just the latest in a series of additions to Freehold Raceway Mall.
• Kids Empire: Occupying 15,059 square feet, this indoor playground is set to open in early 2026 and offer kids of all ages a safe, colorful and action-packed environment to climb, slide, jump, explore and more at Freehold Raceway Mall.
• Von Maur Department Store: In Fall 2027, Von Maur Department Stores is set to open its first New Jersey location at Freehold Raceway Mall and offer products from top brands ranging from Bobbi Brown to Marc Jacobs and Free People.
• Monmouth Square Additions: As construction continues to build Monmouth Square (formerly Monmouth Mall), multiple stores have signed leases to join the new development.
