Asbury Park Police Good Samaritans Save 2 In Water
Asbury Park police, along with two good samaritans, performed a water rescue and saved two victims this weekend.

ASBURY PARK – Asbury Park police, along with two good samaritans, performed a water rescue and saved two victims this weekend.
The rescue happened on Saturday at approximately 7:08 p.m. when the Asbury Park Police and the Asbury Park Fire Department were dispatched to the beach area near Second and Ocean avenues for two distressed swimmers in the ocean.
First to arrive on the scene were Officers Christopher Sylvia and Tess Martin, who entered the water without hesitation, police said.

Sylvia and Martin, along with two good samaritans, emerged from the water successfully saving the two victims.
"This was an outstanding effort by all involved and they should be commended for their actions," police said.
