ALLENHURST, NJ — The Monmouth County DWI Task Force is planning a DWI checkpoint for this Saturday, July 5, in Allenhurst. The checkpoint will run from 9 p.m. Saturday until 1 a.m. Sunday. All northbound cars on Main Street in Allenhurst will be diverted onto Elberon Avenue, where all drivers will be screened for their sobriety. Members of the Task Force will work alongside officers from the local department. Allenhurst Police Chief Michael Schneider is the coordinator of the Monmouth County DWI Task Force.
