Man Broke Into Deal Elementary School, Police Say

DEAL, NJ — Police say an Asbury Park man broke into Deal Elementary School and stole an electronic scooter.

Police say Kyle Costello, 39, broke into the school at night on Aug. 10 by climbing in through a window.

He stole an electronic scooter that was being stored in a hallway, Deal Police said on their Facebook page.

Costello was arrested by police two days later, Aug. 12, and charged with burglary, theft, trespassing and illegal drug offenses. The electronic scooter was recovered and given back to the school.
