Neptune, Long Branch Men Guilty In Fatal 2023 Asbury Park Shooting
Ziamere Ivery, 18, was originally charged as a juvenile, but was waived to adult court because the man he shot died.
ASBURY PARK, NJ — Two men admitted their roles in a July 2023 shooting in Asbury Park that left one man dead and two others injured, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago announced Tuesday.
Ziamere Ivery, 18, of Neptune Township, pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree aggravated manslaughter on May 9. He now faces up to 18 years in state prison and will have to serve a minimum of 85 percent of the sentence.
Ivery was originally charged as a juvenile but was waived to adult court because the man he shot, Lativity Lyons, 21, of Asbury Park, died.

Michael Sally, 20, of Long Branch, pleaded guilty to one count of second-degree illegal weapons possession. He faces up to seven years in prison, and must serve at least 42 months.
Shortly after 10:30 p.m. on July 3, 2023, Asbury Park Police were dispatched to Asbury Park Gardens apartment complex, where they found three adult men who had been shot. A fourth victim, the intended target of the shooting, had not been hit by the bullet spray.

All three were rushed to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, where two were treated for their injuries and released. Lyons died from the gunshot wounds at 10:50 p.m. that same night.
