ReOPEN Asbury Park Begins With Road Closures
Streets will be closed to through traffic and parking to allow for the expansion of dining and retail.

ASBURY PARK – The ReOPEN Asbury Park program's pilot program was to start Thursday and streets will be closed to through traffic and parking to allow for the expansion of dining and retail.
The following will begin on Thursday, July 16th and will be in effect through Monday, July 20th:
DINING & RETAIL EXPANSION

On Thursdays at 3 p.m. through Sundays at 10 p.m., these streets will be closed to through traffic and parking to allow for the expansion of dining and retail (parking will be prohibited starting Thursday 12 p.m. and streets will be accessible to through traffic beginning Monday 7 a.m.):
- Cookman Avenue – from Main Street to Bangs Avenue
- Mattison Avenue – from Bond Street to Emory Street

- No skateboards, scooters or bike riding permitted. Please walk your bikes (bike racks are located on Cookman Avenue at Main Street; please remember to lock your bikes.)
- Social distancing and face coverings/masks are required.
- Face coverings/masks are required if patrons are away from their table outdoors or entering the indoor premises to pick up take-out or use the restroom.
- Patrons may not congregate in dining areas or in the pedestrian walkways to wait for tables.
- Alcoholic beverages may not be removed from dining areas.
- All outdoor activities must end by 10pm.
SLOW STREETS
On Thursdays at 3 p.m. through Sundays at 7 p.m., these streets will be open to local traffic only to allow pedestrians and cyclists to utilize more of the street and slow traffic.
- Third Avenue – from Ridge Avenue to Langford Street
- Fourth Avenue – from Ridge Avenue to Langford Street
- Fifth Avenue – from Bridge Street to Langford Street
As the city reopens Asbury Park, social distancing and wearing face coverings/masks when in pedestrian walkways is required.
