2 People Shot In Monmouth County, Prosecutor Says

NEPTUNE, NJ — Authorities are investigating after a man and woman were shot in Neptune over the weekend, Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Spokesman Christopher Swendeman told Patch.

The shooting happened at 11 p.m. on Saturday near the 1700 block of Heck Avenue, Swendeman said.

Investigation later revealed that a woman and a man were shot, though Neptune Deputy Police Chief Michael McGhee said the shooting was non-fatal.

Authorities did not release further information on the victims’ identities or condition at this time.
