Brush Fire Breaks Out Between Barnegat And Manchester, Sections Of Route 539 Closed

Route 539 between Barnegat and the Whiting section of Manchester Township will be closed until further notice, due to a brush fire in the area, according to a Nixle alertfrom the Ocean County Sheriff's Department's Facebook page.

The New Jersey State Forest Fire Service recently began its controlled burning program, but this blaze is not related to the prescribed burn program.
