The Charm Of Tuckerton: Ocean County Hidden Gems

TUCKERTON, NJ — From small beaches to delicious local restaurants, Ocean County is packed with great experiences.

There are so many things to do and places to visit that people might not know about. That's why here at Patch, we're taking the time each week to highlight different hidden gems throughout Ocean County.

This week is all about Tuckerton, the tiny borough nestled in the middle of Little Egg Harbor.

What makes Tuckerton so special? Despite its small size, it has plenty of things to do.

Reader Rhoda Kopy told Patch her idea of a great evening starts with dinner at Kostas Grill, a Greek restaurant tucked in an unassuming strip mall. The eatery "has the most delicious, fresh, perfectly seasoned food," she said.

Then, she walks a few steps over to enjoy live music at the Lizzie Rose Music Room, a concert venue inside a beautiful Victorian home.

It's also home to Tuckerton Seaport, a great local gem where you can spend hours learning history, exploring and even taking classes.
