• Barrington School Audit Shows $1 Million Loss as Reserves Shrink and S... (theretrospect.com) — Barrington school officials just learned the district ran a $1.04 million operating loss for the 2024-25 year, forcing heavy use of savings and reserves that now stand at about $2.1 million. With state aid dropping and spending hitting 97.7% of the budget, board members warned another similar shortfall could quickly wipe out the remaining surplus and tighten future budgets.
