13-Year-Old Basking Ridge Local To Perform In Cabaret Weekend

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — 13-year-old Basking Ridge resident Josiah Irwin is a soloist among many other talented performers to perform during Cabaret Weekend.

Cabaret Weekend returns with "What About Love?" at Chatham Community Players, 23 N. Passaic Ave., Chatham on Friday, April 12, and Saturday, April 13.

"Join some of your favorite performers from throughout New Jersey community theatre as they celebrate love in all its many forms with songs about first love, last love, platonic love, unrequited love, unexpected love, parental love, true love, lost love, and more!" according to chathamplayers.org.

The evening is directed by Susan Speidel, who has performed her cabaret show throughout New York, New Jersey, and Florida, and also appeared at CCP in Sweeney Todd, August; Osage County, The Importance of Being Earnest, and the recent Winter Cabaret Weekend.

Musical direction is by Joseph Regan, a fixture on the cabaret scene who regularly appears at Don’t Tell Mama’s in New York City and 16 Prospect, in Westfield.

Doors open at 7 p.m. for refreshments and music begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 per person.
