BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Basking Ridge native Gabriel Subervi has been cast as Hobbs Totonchi in the Chicago-based Marriott Theatre’s upcoming production of Always Something There.
Always Something There… is an energetic new jukebox musical by Chicago native Sandy Rustin (known for Clue, The Cottage, Mystic Pizza), set to a dynamic soundtrack of 1980s pop hits.
Blending time-travel with heartfelt comedy, the story follows Samantha Craig, who wakes up on her 45th birthday to find herself back in her 18-year-old body in suburban Chicago, 1989. With the insight of adulthood, she gets the rare chance to relive her senior year — reconnecting with old friends, reclaiming her voice, and perhaps reigniting a first love.
