The Bernards Township Board of Education plans to seek out an "interventionist" candidate to fill a new special education administrator role

In an effort to keep struggling learners in grades K- 5 from unnecessarily being placed into special education programs, the Bernards Township Board of Education plans to seek out an ”interventionist” candidate to fill a new special education administrator role.
The interventionist would focus on students placed into the special education program who could be transitioned back into regular classes as well as prevent students from unnecessarily being placed in the program in the first place, according to New Jersey Hills.
