Cooling Center Opens In Basking Ridge During Heat Wave
An excessive heat watch remains in effect through 8 p.m. on Sunday in Basking Ridge.
BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Bernards Township Library will serve as a cooling center for residents during a heat wave in the area this week.
A heat advisory remains in effect for the Basking Ridge area from 10 a.m. on Tuesday through 6 a.m. on Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service(NWS).
An excessive heat watch also remains in effect from Wednesday morning through 8 p.m. on Sunday.

"For the Heat Advisory, heat index values up to 96 expected. For the Excessive Heat Watch, dangerously hot conditions with heat index values up to 105 possible," according to NWS.
