Faisal Chaudhry Announces Candidacy For Bernards Township Board Of Education

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Faisal Chaudhry, a resident of six years in Basking Ridge, and married father of three children, announced his candidacy for one of three seats on the Bernards Township Board of Education.

As a dedicated member of this community and a regular volunteer at Cedar Hill Elementary School library Faisal has seen firsthand the tremendous potential of our children and the dedication of our educators. He believes we can do more to support our teachers and students.

That's why he is committed to investing in our public education system, ensuring our teachers have the resources they need to succeed, and our children receive the best possible education.

Faisal has 18 years of experience in academic research and biotechnology manufacturing and development.

This scientific training builds three traits vital for working in a team environment to get things done: listening, brainstorming, and problem-solving. These attributes will be imperative to address the challenges facing Bernards Township schools today, namely fiscal discipline given a $128 million annual budget, student wellness, and maintaining a high curriculum standard.

Currently, Faisal is a Director, Regulatory Affairs for a clinical-stage biotechnology company, focused on cell and gene therapy treatments for oncology and autoimmune diseases. He has a PhD in Cell and Molecular Biology from Purdue University, and a B.A. in Genetics, with minors in history and religion, from Ohio Wesleyan University. It goes without saying, Faisal is a strong proponent of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), which is necessary to ensure the next generation of American students from Bernards Township become world leaders in science and technology.

Faisal is running his campaign independently, without financial contributions, or any ideological leanings. If elected he will make decisions that are practical, commonsensical, and fact- and data-driven. He welcomes meetings with parents and residents to listen to their concerns and ensure their voices are heard.
