I-287 Storm Repairs In Basking Ridge To Cause Temporary Stoppages
Both directions will be temporarily stopped overnight on Sunday into Monday for priority utility repairs to wires over the highway.

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Damage caused by Wednesday night's storm prompts the New Jersey Department of Transporation(NJDOT) to schedule temporary stoppages to both directions of Interstate 287 in Basking Ridge on Sunday night.
The stoppages will begin at 11 p.m. Sunday, June 30 and continue until 4 a.m. Monday, July 1.
I-287 is scheduled to have a series of temporary stoppages between Exit 26/Mount Airy Road and Exit 30/North Maple Avenue to repair wires over the highway that were damaged in the storm.

Motorists should expect overnight delays and are advised to use the following alternate routes:
I-287 northbound Alternate Route:

- Motorists on I-287 northbound wishing to avoid the temporary stoppages between Exit 26 and Exit 30 are advised to take I-78 eastbound
- Stay in the local lanes and take Exit 48 to Route 24 westbound/Milburn
- Take the exit for I-287 northbound to I-80/Mahwah
I-287 southbound Alternate Route:
- Motorists on I-287 southbound wishing to avoid the temporary stoppages between Exit 30 and Exit 26 are advised to take Exit 37 to Route 24 eastbound to I-78/Springfield
- Take the exit for I-78 westbound/Clinton
- Take Exit 29 for I-287 to Routes 202/206/Morristown/Somerville
- Stay left to take the exit for I-287 southbound/Routes 202/206 southbound/Somerville
