Mt. Airy Road Closed For Next 3 Days For Road Construction

NJ American Water is performing road construction in Bernardsville near the Basking Ridge border.

BERNARDSVILLE, NJ — Mt. Airy Road is closed on Tuesday and will remain closed through Thursday for road construction by New Jersey American Water, impacting traffic in Bernardsville and Basking Ridge.

Mt. Airy Road, from Olcott Square to Prospect Street in Bernardsville, will be hard closed to all traffic between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. each day, said Bernardsville Police Department.

Bernards Township Police also sent out an alert that Mt. Airy Rd will be closed at West Oak St. in Bernardsville.

All local traffic is advised to follow the approved and posted detour route. Below is a map of the detour:

School bus traffic will not be affected by this closure and will be accommodated throughout the construction period.
