New American Political Thriller Filmed In Basking Ridge, Coming To Netflix

​A House of Dynamite was directed by Kathryn Bigelow and written by Noah Oppenheim.

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — A new movie called "A House of Dynamite," which was filmed in Basking Ridge, is coming to Netflix next month.

The American political thriller movie was directed by Kathryn Bigelow and written by Noah Oppenheim.

Committeewoman Jennifer Asay shared the exciting news at the Tuesday Committee meeting.

"It debuted at the Venice Film Festival and received a standing ovation," said Asay. "It’s coming to select theaters globally on Oct. 19 and will debut on Netflix on Oct. 24."

Asay said the movie was filmed in Bernards Township in October 2024.

"When a single, unattributed missile is launched at the United States, a race begins to determine who is responsible and how to respond," according to the description of the film by Netflix.

The film stars Idris Elba, Rebecca Ferguson, and Gabriel Basso.
