Road Work, Tree Trimming Closes Bernards Township Streets Tuesday
Part of Lyons Road will be closed again for paving, officials said. And, those driving on Douglas Road may see detours. Here's what to know:

BERNARDS TOWNSHIP, NJ — Road construction and tree work will affect traffic in Bernards Township on Tuesday and throughout the week, township officials said.
Lyons Road will be under construction between Mt. Airy Road and Quincy Road on Monday and Tuesday (Oct. 9 and 10) according to the township. Milling and paving work is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with one lane closed beginning at 9 a.m. and police alternating traffic.
Tree work is also scheduled beginning Tuesday along a section of Douglas Road, with scheduled work hours between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. Work is expected to continue through Saturday, Oct. 14, per the township.

Douglas will be closed to through traffic between Liberty Corner Road and Layton Road during the workday, township officials said. Residents, emergency vehicles, school buses, and deliveries will be able to get through.
