Tough in Pink, Bernards Mountaineers Shut Out Belvidere

Bernards football team now 3-1 for season.

The Bernards High Mountaineers raised the football team's season record on Friday night to 3-1, with a 27-0 shutout over Belvidere. The game was played at home on "Pinkout Night," with the goal of raising breast cancer awareness.

The Mounties scored once during each quarter of the game, moving steadily toward the final 4th's 25-yard TD run by Noah Bream.

The evening's scoring began with a TD by Jordan Tantleff on a 29-yard pass from Tyler Baum. Touchdowns were also carried over the goal line during the 2nd and 3rd quarters by Carter Gilpin on passes from Baum. Ryan De Leon scored on three kicks during the game.

In honor of Pinkout Night, the team was wearing jerseys designed by Bernards Football Junior Troy LaVecchia for the team to wear on Olcott Field.

I think Troy just designed the jerseys worn by the team.
