Proponent has been dedicated to serving the financial needs of members since their start in 1971. Now, with over 24,000 members, the local Credit Union is celebrating their 50 year anniversary by expanding their commitment to personal assistance and convenient access in Nutley and beyond.
You might have noticed the “Coming Soon” banners at two sites in Nutley, where Proponent will be opening new Member Consultation Centers this year. The upcoming locations will increase awareness of Proponent benefits and how they can be a preferred alternative to regular banking.

To add to the excitement, Proponent has joined the Allpoint ATM Network to provide surcharge-free debit card cash access at over 55,000 locations worldwide. All members need to do is look for the Allpoint logo or use the locator at profcu.org to search for participating ATMs at area pharmacies, convenience stores, and retailers.
“As a financial advocate, we view our new partnership with the Allpoint Network as a valuable benefit for current and potential Proponent members,” says Debi Van Dorn, a Nutley native and President of Proponent. “With an extensive amount of surcharge-free ATMs accessible locally and globally, Proponent and our field of membership can truly be Everywhere Together.”
