$50K Powerball Lottery Ticket Sold In Belleville (See The Lucky Numbers)

It wasn't a billion-dollar prize, but a lucky Powerball ticket recently sold at a store in Belleville still captured a cool $50,000.

BELLEVILLE, NJ — It wasn’t a billion-dollar prize, but a lucky Powerball ticket recently sold at a store in Belleville still captured a cool $50,000.

According to the New Jersey Lottery, a Powerball ticket sold at Pantry 1 Food Mart on Belleville Avenue in Belleville won a $50,000 prize in the Sept. 1 drawing.

The winning numbers for the Sept. 1 drawing were 08, 23, 25, 40 and 53. The Power Ball was 05 and the multiplier was 03. The Double Play drawing’s numbers were 01, 15, 26, 48 and 67; the Double Play ball was 19.

Meanwhile, the Powerball jackpot climbed to $1.7 billion Wednesday night, making it the third-largest prize in U.S. lottery history. Although no ticket nationwide matched all numbers for the grand prize, New Jersey players had plenty to celebrate: eight Garden State players matched four white balls plus the Powerball, earning $50,000 each. An additional player who included the multiplier option turned their four white balls and Powerball match into a $100,000 prize.

New Jersey Lottery officials released a list of some recent prizes of $50,000 and up in the state, including the Sept. 1 win in Belleville (see chart below).
