Attempted Home Burglary In Nutley, Suspects Flee Scene: Police

Officers found a broken window screen on the ground and pry marks on the window, authorities said.

NUTLEY, NJ — An attempted burglary was recently reported in Nutley, police announced Thursday.

According to the Nutley Police Department, officers responded to a home on Grant Avenue on June 17 after getting a report about an attempted burglary.

“The resident stated that they heard a loud noise and upon going to check, they observed two male parties run and enter a white SUV that then fled the scene. Officers observed a window screen broken on the ground as well as pry marks on the window. Officers cleared the residence, and the surrounding area was canvassed for further information.”

The Nutley Detective Bureau was advised and responded to the scene, authorities said.
