Belleville Man Accused of Stealing Jewelry, Cash
56-year-old allegedly broke into Holmes Street residence last week.

A 56-year-old Belleville man was arrested in connection with a burglary on Holmes Street, police said.
Belleville police said the Holmes Street residence was entered through the rear sliding glass door, which was pried open while the occupant was away between 1 and 10 p.m. on Tuesday, June 18.
Police said $450 in cash was stolen along with assorted jewelry.

The following day, Belleville police arrested Scott Leming in connection with the break-in. Leming was charged with burglary and held on $10,000 bail.
Police said the proceeds of the robbery were recovered.
