Belleville-Nutley Forecast: Storm On Its Way (What About The Weekend?)

BELLEVILLE-NUTLEY, NJ — Some bad weather may be coming to Belleville and Nutley on Thursday, with a mixture of sunny skies and showers predicted for the rest of the weekend, forecasters say.

A thunderstorm and the potential for hail and damaging winds and heavy rain is possible in the Garden State, with a front coming through by late Thursday morning, according to the National Weather Service (NWS). Here’s what the weather forecast holds for Belleville and Nutley, according to the NWS:

Thursday: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 2pm. High near 85. Southwest wind around 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Thursday Night: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 8pm, then a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms between 8pm and 2am. Low around 67. West wind around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Friday: A 20 percent chance of showers after 2pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 84. Southwest wind 5 to 14 mph.

Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 62. West wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light after midnight.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 81. West wind 7 to 11 mph.

Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 63.

Sunday: A 40 percent chance of showers after 2pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 79.

Sunday Night: A 30 percent chance of showers before 2am. Partly cloudy, with a low around 61.
