In District 28, which includes Nutley, incumbent Democratic State Senator Ronald Rice is running unopposed for his party’s nomination. Nutley Republican Frank Contella is running unopposed for his party’s nomination.
Also in District 28, incumbent Democratic Assembly members Cleopatra G. Tucker and Ralph Caputo are running unopposed for their party’s nomination. James Boydston of Bloomfield and Peter Manning are running unopposed for the Republican nomination to run for Assembly.
In District 29, which includes Belleville, Incumbent Democratic State Senator Teresa Ruiz is running unopposed for her party’s nomination. Belleville Republican Raafat Barsoom is running unopposed for nomination for State Senate as a Republican.
