Who is leading the races for the boards of education in Belleville and Nutley? Here are the latest results.

BELLEVILLE-NUTLEY, NJ — The dust has settled from this week's school board elections in Belleville and Nutley, and several candidates have moved to the front of the pack, unofficial results show.
A highly watched governor race brought many Belleville and Nutley residents to the polls on Tuesday. But there were plenty of other choices for local voters to make in the 2025 general election, including school board races.

Eight candidates competed for three open seats on the Belleville Board of Education. Terms last for three years.
With 100 percent of districts reported, Christina Garro, Yadira Munoz and Kenia Arroyabe have apparently captured seats on the board. Results still need to be certified before they are official.
Here are the unofficial results from the Essex County Clerk’s Office:
- Christina Garro – 4,067 votes (20.72%)
- Gabrielle Bennett-Meany – 2,278 votes (11.61%)
- Nicole Coviello Daddis – 2,284 votes (11.64%)
- Michael W. Sheldon – 1,426 votes (7.27%)
- Kenia Arroyabe – 2,787 votes (14.2%)
- Ana Mansilla – 2,656 votes (13.53%)
- Yadira Munoz – 3,055 votes (15.57%)
- Michael L. Derro – 1,072 votes (5.46%)
NUTLEY
Three candidates ran unopposed for the Nutley Board of Education.
The candidates were Theresa Quirk, Tom D'Elia, and Steffan R. Delpiano. Terms last for three years.
