Belleville Will Celebrate 'National Night Out' With Music, Food, Fun: 2025 Summer Events

The free event will include music, games, food trucks and vendors. Other attractions will include rides for kids and a "touch-a-truck" area.

BELLEVILLE, NJ — A free “National Night Out” celebration will return in Belleville on Tuesday, Aug. 5.

The town’s annual event will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. at Belleville High School’s Municipal Stadium. It will include music, games, food trucks and vendors. Other attractions will include bouncy rides and train rides for kids, a “touch-a-truck” area, kickball games and a tug of war.

National Night Out is commemorated each summer in Belleville and other towns across the U.S. The event helps to foster connections between police and the public.

“The police department is front and center in our community every day of the year,” Belleville Mayor Melham said.

“To me, National Night Out gives us all a chance to recognize the efforts of our police officers – the men and women whose mission is to keep us safe and sound,” he added.

Police Chief Mark Minichini said that creating opportunities to connect with the community helps officers to do their jobs better.

“And that job is to proudly protect and serve the people of this community,” Minichini said.
