Buckle Up for the Worst Potholes in Belleville

We asked Patch readers which streets have the most bumps, divots and craters in their area.

Nothing puts a dent in a morning commute like bad traffic and a street littered with potholes.

Blizzard 2016 left monumental snowfalls up and down the east coast, and the Belleville area was not immune to its wrath.

Large snowfalls compiled with El Niño-induced warmer temperatures have caused more potholes and road problems than most motorists can stomach.

Patch readers gave us a rundown of particularly pocked streets in their neighborhoods. Here are some spots that might be worth detouring:

  • “I’ve popped my bike tire riding home from work along Greylock Pkwy in the Greylock Heights part of town!”
  • “Overlook Ave. is also a rough ride.”
  • “From Main St. by the storage spot to the on ramp of 21 South is like a war zone.”
  • “Newcomb St.”
  • “How is Main Street going to 21 even open?? Those aren’t potholes those are sink holes!”
  • “Greylock parkway is the worst. Main to 21 is HORRIBLE!!!”
  • “Biggest is corner of Linden Avenue with Greylock Parkway. It takes up most of the corner when you turn.”
