Congressman Rodney Frelinghuysen joined local officials, active and retired serviceman in Nutley's Memorial Day parade and ceremony on Monday. Armed service members included marines as well as U.S. Army Specialist Daniel Jacoby of Nutley, who marked the day honoring fallen veterans by playing taps.

FBI agents arrested an East Orange man Thursday morning in connection with the armed robbery of Belleville News & Food, U.S. Attorney Paul J. Fishman announced. Bobby Dawson, 43, was charged by with one count of committing a Hobbs Act robbery and one count of brandishing a firearm during a crime of violence.
Clifton police reported that a wrong way driver on Route 3 caused the death of an elderly man late on Sunday Night. Authorities say the 80-year-old Rutherford man died shortly after 11:30 p.m. when a driver identified as a 44-year-old Nutley woman struck the car with her sports utility vehicle, the Associated Press reported.
