Door Shattered During Burglary At Nutley Business: Police

Nutley police responded to a business on Washington Avenue after a burglar alarm went off. Here's what they found, authorities said.

NUTLEY, NJ — More than $500 was stolen from a business on Washington Avenue in Nutley during a burglary last week, authorities say.

The Nutley Police Department released the following details about the incident, which was reported on May 13:

“Officers responded on report of an activated burglar alarm. Upon arrival, officers observed the front door of the establishment shattered. A delivery driver advised officers that upon their arrival, they observed the door to the establishment was shattered and then contacted police, but they did not observe anyone inside the establishment or leaving the scene. The business owner stated approximately $560 was taken and was able to provide officers with security footage of the incident.”

The detective bureau was advised and processed evidence at the scene, police said.
