Driver Is 'OK' After Tree Falls On Car In Belleville, Police Say
A woman paid a visit to Belleville police headquarters to thank them for their swift response after a tree fell on her car during a storm.
BELLEVILLE, NJ — A woman paid a visit to Belleville police headquarters this week to thank them for their swift response after a tree fell on her car during a storm.
The Belleville Police Department posted the following online update on Monday:
“Last Monday, most of you read about or watched the news about a large tree that fell on top of an SUV traveling on Union Avenue at around 6 p.m. during the severe storm we encountered. A woman was driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee when the tree landed directly on her vehicle. Emergency crews had to remove the tree and thankfully she was alert and conscious when she was transported to the hospital for medical treatment.”
“We are immensely grateful that the woman is okay and we couldn’t be happier to see her walk into our lobby earlier today when she came to say thank you to our officers for their swift response,” Belleville police said.
