Ecuadorian Bakery Opens In Belleville, Finds Warm Welcome

BELLEVILLE, NJ — A new Ecuadorian bakery in the Silver Lake neighborhood of Belleville recently got a warm welcome to town.

Anthony's Bakery (Panadería & Pastelería) recently celebrated a grand opening at 90 Franklin Street. The eatery specializes in “delicious flavors and traditional treats” – and they also have “amazing bread,” Mayor Michael Melham attested.

Council member Frank Velez also had high praise for the town’s newest bakery after a visit, recommending the horchata, which he said is “amazing.”

“The owners – Anna & Anthony (originally from Jersey City) – chose Belleville as the place to accomplish their dream of starting a bakery,” the councilman said. “We welcome them with open arms and wish them nothing but success!”
