Government and School Meetings in the Week Ahead

A look at noteworthy Belleville and Nutley news and events in the coming days

Belleville’s School Board meets on Monday at the BHS Auditorium at 100 Passaic Avenue. Public session is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. 

Cruisin’ at Nutley kicks off on Tuesday night. The classic car event goes from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in Municipal Parking Lot #1. 

The Walker Middle School Concert will be held at 7 p.m. the Middle School auditorium.

Nutley’s Board of Commissioners meets Tuesday at 7 P.M. in the Commission Chambers in the Municipal building at One Kennedy Drive

On Wednesday, at 7 P.M. The Nutley Health Department holds a Stroke Risk Assesment Clinic at the public affairs building. The fee is $30 or  $25 for residents 55 and older. Call 973-284-4976 for appointments.

Nutley’s Shade Tree Committee meets on Thursday.

 

On Saturday, Belleville hosts a Free Rabies Clinic at the Fire Headquarters on 275 Franklin Avenue.

Throughout the week, Nutley schools are holding presentations analyzing NJDOE School Performance Reports for each of the districts schools. The schedule is as follows:

  •    Radcliffe School - Monday, May 6, 6:30 p.m. RS Media Center
  •    Lincoln School - Thursday, May 9, 6:30 p.m. LS Auditorium
  •    Spring Garden School - Monday, May 13, 6:30 p.m. SG Auditorium
  •    Washington School - Tuesday, May 14, 6:30 p.m. WS Auditorium
  •    Yantacaw School - Tuesday, May 21, 6:30 p.m. YS Auditorium
  •    Middle School - Tuesday, May 28, 6:30 p.m. MS Auditorium
  •    High School - Thursday, May 30, 6:30 p.m. HS Auditorium
