BELLEVILLE, NJ — Need to dispose of a Christmas tree in Belleville? You’re not alone – and your chance is coming up soon.

Township officials recently reminded local residents about this year’s tree recycling and pickup schedule, which will take place from Monday, Jan. 5 to Friday, Jan. 30.

Here are some things to keep in mind if you’re throwing away a Christmas tree, the township advised:

  • Place your tree at the curb on your regularly scheduled pickup day
  • Trees must be free of lights, ornaments, and plastic wrap
  • No artificial trees
  • Please remove all tree stands
