Missing Teen Found After Leaving Nutley School (UPDATE)

The missing Essex County teen reportedly didn't have her asthma medication with her, authorities said.

NUTLEY, NJ -- Police continue to search for a missing Nutley teen who may have gone to Newark, authorities say.

The Nutley Police Department issued a missing persons alert for Jazmine Mendez, 15, on Saturday. She was last seen leaving Nutley High School (300 Franklin Avenue) around 2:30 p.m.

Mendez has asthma and does not have her medication with her, family members said.

On Sunday, police issued an update, noting that Mendez is still missing.

"Unconfirmed reports indicate Jazmine may be in the city of Newark," police said.
