Nutley ‘Paws In The Park’ Event Will Have Activities, Pet Blessing

Get ready for some "paws in the park," Nutley.

NUTLEY, NJ — Get ready for some “paws in the park,” Nutley.

The township will partner with Lynn’s Pampered Pets to hold a “Paws In The Park” event on Sunday, Oct. 22 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in conjunction with the Nutley Farmers Market – Municipal Lot #7, 507 Franklin Avenue.

The event will include activities, demonstrations, adoptions and food. A special “Blessing of the Animals” will take place at noon, courtesy of the Rev. David LeDuc. Donations for the Nutley Family Service Bureau Pet Pantry will be accepted throughout the day.

Participating vendors include the Bloomfield Animal Shelter, Bond Vet, Dog, Cat and Bird Clinic, G.E.T. Doggies Treats, Humane Society of Bergen County. Lynn's Pampered Pets, NFSB Pet Pantry, Operations K9 Beethoven, S.T.A.R.T II, and The Feisty Pup.

“We are looking forward to a fun and successful event” Commissioner John Kelly said.

“Nutley has always been a very pet-friendly community, and we are hoping to get some shelter pets adopted, as well as increase the supplies at the Nutley Family Service Bureau Pet Pantry,” Kelly said.
